RCCL - FREEDOM OF THE SEAS

SHIP INSPECTION - JUNE, 2010

PLEASE NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS INTENDED TO PROMOTE SALES AS A TRAVEL ADVISOR, I WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS IF YOU DECIDE  THIS VACATION IS FOR YOU.

I am not going to spend a lot of time with a review of this ship.  While I was attending the Vacation.com Conference, I was fortunate to participate in a day trip to the Freedom of the Seas to inspect the ship.

Having written reviews for the Vision of the Seas, the Mariner of the Seas and the Allure of the Seas: I can tell you that the Freedom of the Seas is slightly larger than the Voyager Class ship (Mariner) and smaller than the Oasis Class ship (Allure).   The Freedom class ships will be upgraded in 2011 to include the Dreamworks characters and a few other Oasis Class amenities.

The Freedom Class ships are great choices if you want to experience most of the bells and whistles that Royal Caribbean has to offer, but are not prepared to pay the price for the Oasis Class ships.  It is also a great choice for a cruise that departs from Port Canaveral so that you can combine a cruise with a Disney Vacation or with a Space Shuttle visit.
